Slavyanska Beseda Hotel - Sofia

The location is amazing! Everything's just a short walk away, made exploring so easy. The breakfast selection was really decent but could've used more organization. The parking situation kinda sucked 😅

Well heated & newly remodelled room with 4 beds.

Very downtown. Big room, nice view. I felt like I was alone in the whole hotel.

Very old interieur, not on European standard. Elevator was scary, carpeted floor everywhere. "Air condition" was a fan. Wlan was very poor, it went on and off every 3 minutes. Parking (in front of the hotel) cost 8€ a night - and the hotelier just cashed it in without writing it down: I was afraid he asked for the money again the next morning.

The room felt cramped, and the low level of sound insulation made it hard to enjoy a peaceful night's sleep, especially with noisy neighbors at odd hours. The interior could use a serious refresh, with old furnishings showing signs of wear, like a fridge that hadn't been cleaned properly and a bathroom that needed better upkeep. Despite requesting an inner yard view beforehand, I was given a room facing the bustling street, causing nighttime disturbances. It seemed like hitting a rough patch during my otherwise lively stay.

Horrible experience - stay away and for that amount of money you will find much more reasonable accommodation

It is near the centrer and near all important historical places of interests. Ideal for turists

I lived in 5th floor and although the hotel advertised WIFI access from all rooms, I had the whole time problem with internet access. It did not work even in the reception hall. Because I was in Sofia for a business, it was for me complication.

Great central location, easy access to metro stations.

Staff was very polite, spoke sufficiently English. They were helpful and friendly. One forgets that smoking is still a part of Eastern European culture which did not bother me (although smoking in the lobby was forbidden anyway). I have no complaints. I had a standard single room and that was exactly what it was, very basic but served me well. I do think most American tourists expect luxuries which former Communist countries simply do not provide. I enjoyed my stay.

I liked the location, price and my hotel room.

I din´t like the breakfest - it was the poorest part of my stay. The bread was old, vegetables and fruit were not fresh and the coffee was bad as well. It´s a pitty because otherwise the stay was quite pleasant. Please improve the quality of the breakfest and the stay will be great. Also the internet on my floor (3rd floor) didn´t work which is bad as I was in Sofia due to work commitments and I needed to have some work done.

Great location near Alexander Nevsky Cathedral made it easy to explore Sofia. Quick access to both Serdika and University metro stations was a big plus. I appreciated the decent room amenities like a kettle and free toiletries. The room decor felt outdated, and the bathroom had issues with cleanliness, a shower curtain was missing, which caused water to splash everywhere. Service at the reception could improve. I was met with indifferent responses when I needed assistance. WiFi was also spotty. Despite these drawbacks, I enjoyed the overall experience of being in such a vibrant area.

What a really nice stay, nothing to complain about. Good breakfast selection with English taste and nice view, for instance. Extremely spacious room, family atmosphere. Nice staff with smiles. Private parking nearby provided. No charge for wake up service and ironing too. Excellent and particularly good location, an easy walk to an art gallery.

The room had a smell of kitchen (I ought to keep the window open for some time), the outside noise of passing car (the windows not well tight).
